The above was recorded by my Son, Martin, on Labor Day, 9/5/22. I am holding one of Lydia's 2 boys at 2.5 wks. of age. I had just completed trimming his, and his brother's nails. They are smaller pups, at this age, than Esther's 3 robust boys. However, we know from many decades of experience, they all may be near the same size when mature. My deceased wife, Wanda, used to say that double the weight at age 12 wks. to predict mature weight. She had an excellent batting average! I will be keeping one of these boys for the breeding program, and maybe showing. His markings and color are perfect, even at this tender age. (Edit 8/5/23 - This pair remained with us for a few days short of a year. I haven't had this kind of difficulty choosing who I wanted to keep, ever! Today, I passed the slightly smaller boy, "Obadiah" to a wonderful family from Las Vegas, not one better. We have kept Barthomew, who probably will be shown, even at my advanced age, and entered into the breeding program. Two wonderful guys, THANK YOU LORD, AGAIN!)
